Start your day with a healthy and yummy Egg Toast

It is important to have breakfast because it is the main source of energy for our body. I like to prepare delicious breakfast in simple ways, and I gain satisfaction from preparing my own meals.

Having high-fibre food for breakfast, such as oatmeal, vegetables and fruits, can lower our daily calorie intake, speed up our metabolism and still make us feel full and satisfied.  

I often watch videos of people making various cuisines online. When I am free, I would pick plant-based ingredients to replace the meat and cook it to suit my taste. I would then share the food with my colleagues or friends. I hope that those who have eaten what I prepared would find plant-based food to be not only nutritious but also delicious.


Here’s how to prepare my version of egg toast:

Ingredients:
2 slices of bread, 2 eggs, half a tomato (sliced), sliced lettuce, 1 piece of mock bacon, 1 piece of vegan cheese

How to prepare:
1. Place the eggs into cold water and boil them in medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove the hard-boiled eggs and place them into cold water for 3 minutes before removing the eggshells.

Tips: Adding a bit of salt or white vinegar into the water can prevent the eggshell from cracking.

2. Apply some butter on the bread and lightly toast them until they turn golden.

3. Boil or fry the mock bacon or mock ham.

4. Place all the ingredients into the toast and cut them into half, and it is ready to be served!
